1/4 c butter
1/4 c flour
2 c milk
2 c cheddar cheese, grated
6 to 8 potatoes
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

In a baking dish with lid, melt butter; stir in flour. Over medium heat, mix in milk until mixture begins to thicken. Stir in cheese until cheese melts and becomes a cheese sauce. Wash potatoes; slice thinly. Add sliced potatoes, sliced onion and spices to cheese mixture. Microwave, covered, until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, or bake, covered. 350o
